The ministry of Angels

  1. Some facts about Angels

 

  1. The meaning of Angels: This word is from a greek word which means messenger. Therefore angels are messengers of God who carry the messages from God.
  2. Angels are created (Psalms 148v1-5). They have not always existed, they are not born of God.
  3. You cannot worship angels because they were created by God, only God can be worshiped because He is the Creator Revelation 22v8-9).
  4. Angels are spirit beings. They are invisible but they have the ability to manifest in the physical.
  5. Angels look like human beings and can appear as strangers (Genesis 19v1-3; Hebrews 13v2)
  6. Angels often manifest in dreams and visions (Acts 10v3; Acts 27v23).
  7. Angels are limited in their speech; they can only say what God has told them to say (Jude 9).
  8. Angels are not omnipotent (all powerful) only God is.
  9. Angels are not Omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time) only God is.
  10. Angels are not Omniscient (all knowing) only God is (1 Peter 1v12).
  11. Angels are dying (Luke 20v36).
  12. Angels have no need to rest (Revelation 4v8).
  13. Angels can speak all languages (1 Corinthians 13v1).
  14. Angels do not marry or reproduce (Luke 20v35-36; Matthew 22v30).
  15. They are so many angels and they can’t be counted by human understanding (Hebrews 12v22; Revelation 5v11).
  16. Angels are powerful beings, mighty in strengths (2 Thessalonians 1v7; Revelation 10v1; Revelation 20v1-3).
  17. When angels speak we can receive messages as from God, their words can’t be broken (Hebrews 2v2).
  18. We will one day judge the fallen angels (1 Corinthians 6v3).

 

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANGELS.

  1. Angels and Arch Angels

Arch: The word Arch means Chief. Therefore Arch angels means Chief Angels

The bible only makes mention of two Arch angels

  1. Micheal: He is the Warrior angel and leads the angels of God in the war.
  2. Gabriel: He stands in God’s presence and he is the messenger who comes forward with God’s special plans and purposes.

 

  1. Seraphims

The main purpose of Seraphims is to proclaim the holiness of God (Isaiah 6v1-3, Revelation 4v6-8)

The seraphims have six eings:

  • With two they worship.
  • With two hey fly.
  • With two they cover their feet.

 

  1. Cherubims

These are the first angels spoken of in the bible and were responsible guarding duty in the garden of Eden and before the throne ( Genesis 3v24, Psalms 99v1)

 

THE WORK OF ANGELS IN HEAVEN

  1. Angels worship God Isaiah 6v3)

THE WORK OF ANGELS IN THE SKY
